Let's start at the beginning.
It is part of the CHURCH OF ENGLAND (also known as ANGLICAN), a Christian Church.
In England, the Church of England is divided into two SEE's, Canterbury and York, each with an Archbishop.
Each See is divided into several DIOCESES, each with one or more Bishops.
Each Diocese is divided into ARCHDEACONRIES, each presided over by an Archdeacon.
Each Archdeaconry is divided into DEANERIES, each led by an Area Dean (or Rural Dean).
Each Deanery covers a certain area containing several PARISHES, each usually with one or more churches. Clergy (Vicars, Rectors or Priests-in-Charge) may be responsible for one or more parishes and its churches within the Deanery. Sometimes parishes are combined in a Group or Team Ministry made up of more than one member of the clergy.

Recently the site has been totally revised. Most pages now conform to XHTML 1.0 Transitional standard (sounds good, doesn't it?!?) and are produced using Microsoft Expression Web.
If you would like to get involved, Oliver would love to hear from you!
