St. Mark's was consecrated in 1897 on the south edge of Mansfield town centre. Following the high Anglican tradition, worship is enhanced by an emphasis on ritual and liturgy, aided by a high standard of music and an experienced serving team.
Sung Parish Eucharist is celebrated at 9.30am each Sunday (followed by time to relax and catch up over refreshments) with Said Mass at 9.15am on Thursdays and 7pm on Tuesdays. For other times of worship (including Saints' Days) please check out our website.
We welcome all ages with term-time provision for young people at Sunday Mass and at teenager monthly happenings. More details on the young people's (ST MARK LIONS) own website: CLICK
In the week, uniformed organisations (Brownies, Guides, three sections of Boys' Brigade) meet in the Henley Hall situated by the Church.
FAIR TRADE stall (usually last Sunday) is available after Mass monthly for you to spend your money on worthy causes!
Social activities (for example, Midsummer Madness and Evening of Humour) as well as events to raise money for others (for instance, Sponsored Snore) are organised throughout the year. Every Thursday from noon to 4pm, an Indoor Car Boot with refreshments takes place in the Henley Hall to raise money for St. Mark's. You may have your own table to sell your goods (£5) or donate items for the St. Mark's table.
St. Mark's enjoys strong links with local schools. The pupils enjoy visiting our Church both for worship and finding out why the Church is there.
